Why aren’t our mountains as floral as that? Very jealous. What a wonderful sight 🙂
Carol.
We saw scenes like this in the ten years when we lived in that area, 1958-1968 – especially Grass
Mtn. Many thanks for bringing this to the computer screen!
Were these photos taken on Grass Mountain trail on Figueroa Mountain or was this taken further down Figueroa past the cattle guard? I was just there this past weekend and hiked the Lovers Loop, I want to go back and try another trail and see the poppies and lupine. Do you have any suggestions where the best spot in Figueroa would be? Thanks!
This was a few years ago, along Zaca Ridge, just west of Zaca Peak. . .between Grass Mountain and Zaca Peak.
Can you see Neverland Ranch from there? Michael Jackson lives on that road.
He hasn’t lived there in a long time. But you drive by his old estate when going to this place, yes.
