Merry Christmas Jack! I continue to enjoy your descriptions of the Santa Barbara “back country.” Is that a road cut directly above the falls?
Merry Christmas David. Thanks for stopping by, I’m glad to hear you enjoy the content. Good eye. Yes, that is Gibraltar Road that you see. The road began as a trail a hundred years ago or so and eventually became a paved road. You can learn a little bit more about it in another post I made awhile back at the following link:

Wow, spent so many years climbing and exploring the canyons in the SB foothills and never hiked down to this fall. Nice little pool at the bottom too.
